How to keep a Dog living in estate under MCST environment

Today, many condo drillers find that keeping dog in condo is not an easy task.  In most estates, dogs are increasing popular pets in many condo.  Most people are sensible enough to keep smaller breed dogs in a condo due to the constraint of space.   However, some found themselves down grade from a home with yard large enough to keep a big dog to a condo that barely has enough space for two person.  So there is a predicament here and how do we deal with this so that we can keep it manageable.  This is assuming that you can't leave your dog at your family, friend or having it adapted.

In a condo environment which mean that you are only have limited space for your dog to roam around unless you live in a big penthouse with room for the dog to run.  You will then most likely be taking your dog out for a stroll around your estate.

In Singapore, dog is required to have mussel on when it is outside the house. It is to prevent any possibility of dog attacking another being while it is outside the house.  I heard that AVA has this guideline that requires mussel to be put on with the leash when walking/running the dogs(pending verification on facts).

MCST environment must have a bylaw if it want to establish some sort of control of the type or size of dog can be kept in the estate.

Condo has a share common area which are usually accessible by dogs so control is under the responsibility of each owner.  If the dog present a threat to the other residents then management may step in to assist.

The size of dogs that is most likely not create problems are those of smaller size and well trained.  There should be no more than one dog in a unit. Owner must clean up after the dog at all times. In some estates,  there are rules and penalty under the house rules or bylaw that help deal with issues arise from dogs.

Fine:  $50 or what ever pass under the AGM and establish and add into the bylaw.

Dog registration:  Register a pet in the Management office for better pet management.  This registration should include type/breed of dog, name, license of pet, owner information, photo, and address.
