How to work with the Chairman under MCST

How to work with the Chairman

Like the entire council member, a Chairman is elected in as a council member.  This person is later elected by other council to be the Chairman during their one year term.
Chairman is liable and takes the most responsibilities during the term of chairmanship.

His authority is the same as the rest of SP and Council members.

Guideline:

·        Communication
·        Education
·        Follow up
·        Never commit without formal approval on major issues *major issues are those going get you or your company into trouble, or violating the right of other SP

Additional Note:

The chairman will need more educating as they are often exercise authority which is not within their rights.   It is always mistaken that they are managing the estates but in reality they are not the authorize member to manage.  His voice is within the board of council and all decision still required majority approval before it is allow to put into action.

Many of this information regarding to the right of council can be found in Strata-Title Act.
