What if the SP/Owner of the unit refuse to repair the leak under MCST (including common area by the Management)
Refusal to repair leaking under MCST (another
solution)
Subsidiary Proprietor is
to repair and pay the full cost of the leak under the law in United States,
Singapore and Malaysia (check with your management if you are not sure of the
local law in your country). However,
there will be SP who does not care to follow the law or intentionally dragging
on the issues. No matter the problem, the best solution is to find the easier
solution if there is one.
Guideline:

Split the cost
·
You pay to repair it
·
If all else failed then
take it and the SP to STB
·
If the leak is in the
common area and it is the responsibility of the management to fix the leak. If
the management refuses then please take it to the STB directly.
Additional Note:
Be open mind and willing
to solve the problem with the help of the management. The management is only the middlemen who
facilitate and take the initiative.
SP must follow up and ensure that it is carrying through and the management cannot be of much help after the initial period. The end of the day, you can always take it to STB if all else failed.
