Each resident has their
expectation as to what is acceptable around their living environment.
One must be reminded that
condominium living are communal living where everyone’s personal lifestyle may
create differences between neighbours.
Residents must be more tolerant and control their expectation. In some estates, there are multi-racial
residents that may bring with them multi-culture and different
expectation. Residents must try their best to live with others so that will reduces the conflict to the minimum.
Management office can only
help with expectation from residents within reason. Not all expectation will be met.
All residents must comply
with bylaw and the laws of the Strata Title Act. If your expectation can not be address by the
both then it may be address by the Strata Title Board.
My take on this is to explain each situation to the
resident if they are willing to listen.
Communicate the solution to them if I have one. If their expectation is unreasonable then I will
tell them so. I will suggest a few
possible solution and hopefully we can all move forward from there.
Manager should be calm and to anticipate changes and further development of each issue. Take a moment to think about it before jumping into problem solving. Understand the problem then work to find solutions for it.
